Safety is of paramount importance to our sport. Our lives and wellbeing depend on it, and so does future water and beach access for all other windsport addicts. A number of localities in Connecticut and Long Island have already restricted water access for windsurfers and kitesurfers, to avoid liability due to accidents that occurred in the past.
